EMEX is a multinational conglomerate comprising information, trading and fulfilment businesses and is represented by its marketplace platform EMEX.DWC in the UAE.

Information Business: A marketplace connecting buyers and suppliers, aggregating information on 30 million product offerings. Trading Business: EMEX procures goods into its inventory and sells them to buyers, enabling the establishment of standards for product and service quality across marketplace partners. Fulfilment Business: It forms logistical chains, enabling delivery to over 40+ countries worldwide.

Who We're Looking For

As our operations expand, we require an experienced Accountant to enhance our finance team's capabilities.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Managing and overseeing all accounting operations and financial reporting for entities in the UAE, Japan, and possibly in other regions.
  • Handling payroll computations and maintaining accurate records in the accounting application.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate tax compliance, including VAT filings, Corporate tax filings, and other statutory requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day cash operations, including reconciliation of bank accounts and Accounts Payable.
  • Respond on bank compliance requests.

Goals for the First 3 Months:

  • Assume responsibility for managing the accounting affairs of legal entities in the UAE.
  • Ensure the timely preparation of information for VAT reporting.
  • Ensure timely payments to suppliers and vendors.

Требования

How to Know If You're a Good Fit

  • Expertise: You possess a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
  • Qualification: You have a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field and also Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or CMA (or you are partially qualified).
  • Experience: You have a proven track record of success in similar roles, with at least 2 years of relevant experience preferably in the wholesale or automotive industry. You participated and were instrumental in implementation of an ERP, including new purchase to pay modules
  • Technical Skills: You are proficient in using accounting software such as (Quickbooks, accounting modulus of SAP, Oracle, and Odoo ERP). If you have experience in working with Odoo ERP it would be a strong advantage.
  • Communication: You have excellent communication skills in English and Russian languages (which would be a strong advantage), enabling you to effectively interact with stakeholders and team members.
  • Adaptability: You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
