About The Role:

A fantastic opportunity for a pro-active, energetic and enthusiastic Warehouse Lead (known internally as an Area Manager) to join our Dubai site situated in Dubai World Center (DWC) free zone where you will use your talents and experience to run an effective and efficient warehouse providing a high-quality service for our customers, representing both EMEX Group and our Fulfilment Business in this role.

Our Warehouse consists of:

— delivery acceptance area

— sortation area

— stock area

— shipping area

Total venue space is 5.425 square meters, out of which 2.738 sq m is a shipping area, 2.687 sq m is dedicated to the stock and transit area. Warehouse is a class A venue, situated in Dubai World Center free zone. The team operating the venue is 70+ people.

Working hours will be Monday to Saturday 8.00am - 5.00pm, our customers don't work Sunday so neither do we! We have a rotational shift pattern of 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00 & 22:00-06:00 to cover the operations. Please note the Area Manager role within EMEX involves managing the warehouse operatives and the day to day running within the warehouse and not multiple sites across the region.

Who We're Looking For:

As our operations expand, we are looking for a pro-active and experienced Warehouse Manager for Dubai WH site located in DWC to enhance our operation team's capabilities.

Your Responsibilities Will Include but not exceed:

• Provide operational control through effective planning, organization, and communication to ensure all KPI targets and customer requirements are fulfilled to the highest possible standards are achieved.
• Monitor the accuracy and timeliness of warehouse operations, improve current processes and influence changes in regulations and procedures.
• Work with both the warehouse operational team, and management teams to ensure the KPI targets are met.
• Work with warehouse team (hiring, management and development).
• Initiate projects to optimize and automate processes, increase productivity.
• Take care of all the safety requirements, collaborate with the exploitation team to make sure the state of the building and the equipment meets all the norms and is risk-less for the company.
• Manage the budget of the warehouse.

Your KPIs will be:

• Quality of the operations (costs of operations, forfeit goods costs, reclamations costs)
• Speed of the operations (time per operation)

Goals for the First 3 Months:

• Decrease the operations cost of 1 id sortation
• Evaluate the state of the warehouse and implement 3 initiatives to increase its efficiency and security
• Initiate and implement 2 initiatives to increase hiring funnel conversions rates with support from HR team
• Evaluate all the employees and create a firing&hiring plan with support from the HR team

You're Definitely a Good Fit If Your:

• Experience: You have a proven track record of success in similar roles as Warehouse Supervisor or Lead. Previous experience with complicated or large-stock environments preferably within automotive industry is a huge plus.
• Expertise: Knowledge of safety standards and compliance are preferred and previous experience within Warehouse or Logistics environment are essential.
• Technical Skills: You are strong in using office software such as MS Office and are comfortable with Supply Chain systems (TMS/WMS etc.). If you have experience in working with Odoo ERP, it would be a strong advantage.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication and numeracy skills are a must. Experience in conducting formal meetings, understanding and applying the relevant policies appropriately is desired. You have excellent communication skills in English (Tamil or Russian language would be a strong advantage, enabling you to effectively interact with stakeholders and team members).
• Leadership: You can mentor and support junior staff fostering their professional development within the team.
